Rebank

Financial innovation, technology advances and social changes are sending shockwaves through the financial services industry. In an age of increasingly rapid change, important questions, debates and developments are unfolding before our eyes. These ideas, and the choices we make in response to them, will shape our future. Technology is vastly powerful, creating new industries in response to – or sometimes in anticipation of – changing customer expectations. Rebank explores the trends, developments and challenges that define our age and shape the future role of money, banking and financial services.

Hello and welcome to Rebank. I'm your host, Will Beeson.

This is part one of a two-part episode.

We recently participated in an event with PIMFA, the UK Personal Investment Management and Financial Advice Association, on the subject of Millennials and Financial Services, as part of a research project they're undertaking.

The research looks at how people in their 20s and early-30s think about life, work and the future, and how that influences their financial decisions.

We spoke with a range of guests at and around the event, ranging from incumbent investment managers to fintech startups to millennials themselves and stitched those conversations together into this two-part episode.

In part one, we'll hear from PIMFA's CEO, Liz Field, and Head of Research, Gary Sunderland, as well as Sally Allan, Chief Marketing Officer of Wealthify, a roboadvisor, and Ellie Duncan, Deputy Content Editor at FT Adviser.

In part two of the episode, which we'll release in the coming weeks, we'll hear from Nina Mohanty, Business Development at fintech marketplace platform Bud, and Sophie Winwood, formerly of Innovate Finance and soon to be with Anthemis, a Venture Capital firm, for a deeper dive into the way Millennials themselves think about life, work and money.

A huge thanks to PIMFA for coordinating the event and facilitating our involvement.
